The tournament welcomed over 300 players from 35 teams\u2014female, trans, and non-binary\u2014across all skill levels for an afternoon of grassroots football, connection, and celebration. At Kitlocker we're proud to provide teams with the kits that they want, not the ones that they're given, so when we found out that multiple teams from INDIVISA who we have supplied kit for were invited to the tournament we were delighted. As well as team INDIVISA kits being on display, Kitlocker provided all the staff kit for the day to help the Girls United team look uniformed whilst running this exceptional Team INDIVISA's Bayern Munchies FC were crowned winners of the tournament after a fantastic display of football, however the day was about much more than winning.<\/p> The overarching theme of Accelerate Action<\/em> speaks to a global urgency. At the current rate, it will take 134 years to achieve gender equality. Both Girls United and we at Kitlocker believe sport is one of the fastest, most effective tools for closing that gap-equipping girls with confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the pitch.
This year\u2019s campaign theme, From Playground to Pitch<\/em>, focused on the journey girls take through football, from their first kick in the schoolyard to becoming confident, community leaders.
