When we first came up with Kitunlocker, we had a strongly defined idea for who we wanted to be involved. Simply put, to showcase clubs that have a purpose that\u2019s much bigger than what happens on the pitch.<\/strong><\/p>

Any kind of sporting success should be secondary to what the clubs mean to those involved with them.<\/p>

The next club we want to shout about is the perfect embodiment of that ethos.<\/p>

Introducing: Lincolnshire Lancers<\/strong><\/h2>

In recent years, rugby has not always felt like a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether that\u2019s because of social barriers, a lack of inclusionary opportunities or last year\u2019s ban on transgender women playing women\u2019s rugby. Lots of different factors have created an often hostile environment.<\/p>

This, coupled with a lack of LGBTQ+ spaces in his adopted home city of Lincoln, inspired Blake Coghill to do something.<\/p>

So, armed with a bag of rugby balls and one like-minded friend, Blake founded Lincolnshire \u201cThe Lancers was born out of giving people a like-minded space to be themselves and enjoy sport.\u201d Blake Coghill, Founder.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

Since that very first two-player session in the summer of 2022, the club has gone from strength to strength. They\u2019ve embraced \u201ctouch rugby\u201d, which is a form of the game that is open and accessible to everyone. They also now have a permanent home thanks to the hospitality of Lincoln RFC.<\/p>

As the only club of it\u2019s kind within the whole of Lincolnshire, the Lancers attract attendees not only from the city of Lincoln, but from far and wide.<\/p>

All that they were missing was a proper kit. Enter Kitunlocker\u2026<\/p>
